Chew is unbelievably calm and civilized. If I’m in his shoes, I’ve used the f words for a hundred times. The Congress sounds like people from Stone Age, their questions humiliated their voters.

Competing for who is the most stupid by each of the Congress members in this session 😂😂😂

The people in Congress just exposed themselves for what they really are. Arrogant, out of touch and are flat out bullies. Mr Chew is a class act. He maintained composure while dodging a lot of complex questions asked. Not an easy task

It scares me how much power some of these people have.

I am ashamed of the behavior and impoliteness of these Americans. They have no respect at all, and they are bent on doing what they think.

Dude he’s singaporean. Where the hell are they asking him to take responsibility for china’s actions? Some of them not even relating to TikTok?

This hearing reveals the dismal low level of the Congress men's and women's education. They could not perceive a level higher than "Yes or No".

If he actually answered "yes" is or "no" to any trap question, media would cut everything said after and deemed it irrelevant to trigger a reaction of those who ask those questions. That's the world we live in.

The way they asked questions .. literally interrogating .. how rude. You cant ask questions and demand the answers you want .. that's not how it works. And it is so so rude to keep cutting him off when he tries to clarify. Question : its a yes or no answer .. wtf.. all of them are just so so arrogant.

Well, certainly comforting to know that the people in charge of our country are not only clueless, but also absurdly rude and oblivious to their own ignorance.

the congressman sound like he did not have any formal education and seems very ignorant about anything except their self entitled ego and pride.

The Congresspeople already had a clear "idea" of what they thought TikTok was. They created questions (with little understanding of what they meant; search up the "tiktok congress wifi question") to trap Mr. Chew into a political corner. While we must stay open-minded on this matter, I think that *some* of the Congresspeople were rude and were downright impolite in their manner of hearing. It's a hearing, not a grilling where they twist the answers to feed their ego.

The congressman who kept asking YES OR NO obviously thot he's the man of the hour with such a line of "astute" questioning. Only a full blown ejit will ask that for anything even remotely complex.

"Do you hate apples, yes or no?"
'I'm hear to talk about tiktok.'
"It's a very easy question, yes or no, do you hate apples?"
