Nice to hear someone else talking about this. I hate training with ppl that tell me I'm "doing it wrong" when I throw up jabs and shovel uppercuts, even though they can't block them.

Also, the Hoost leg kick is the traditional muay thai low kick. It was the Dutch who pioneered the more horizontal angle. It's quicker, but the old school thai version is stronger and has substantially less injury risk for the kicker

45 degree striking is fantastic. Turning the fist over isnt always desirable. Theres so much in martial arts of old that people overlook because these days traditional martial arts often dont train for actual fighting. But theres so much knowledge there that people are missing out on.
