Picture this: Millions of people moving freely around the European Union, weaving together 28 different countries over decades. No visas, no work permits, no paperwork. prior to joining the EU, the UK allowed and shared "freedom of movement" with Ireland. such a policy did not mean the UK didn't "control it's own borders". It meant that he UK voluntarily allowed such freedom. Ditto for the UK voluntarily being a member of the EU. The UK could, and now will leave the EU and end freedom of movement within to and from the rest of EU. The UK always had "control" in law. What it hasn't got and still won't have after leaving the EU is physical control of its borders. immigration from outside the EU is larger than EU migration and the government admitts it cannot control it.

The problem with free movement is that people will naturally move to where the grass is greenest.  Are we willing to accept completely uncontrolled movement of populations?  Hospitals, schools,  housing and infrastructure cannot be built overnight.  The concept is fundamentally flawed, maybe the EU should accept that some control is they will not.

British people travelled through Europe easily long Before EU was even conceived. Brexit is not going to change that. When it comes to the EU -  a lot must be noticed - even subjects that is not Always fun to talk about - but important anyway: EU is for bringing in refugees in millions to the European continent and take money from UK to use in poor countries like Romania, Bulgaria and now Grecce of course.
To take from the rich ruthlessly and to give to the poor and to other continents - and to let people from poor countries of Europe have jobs that should go to british people - in Britain.
That is what EU is all about. Plus give great richness in salaries to EU-politicians. UK pays high ransom to EU for their Place in the madhouse called EU.
VOTE TO LEAVE!

Pretty face spewing propaganda, how Fox Newsish of you. Leaving out half the details seems rather petty, even for WSJ.

This doesn't really make sense if you were wanting to move abroad for a better life you wouldn't choose continental Europe as a place to stay. Surely North America, Australia, New Zealand and the Arabian gulf would be more realistic options

When UK pensioners live in a other country it's great for the host country's economy to the detriment of Britain. For us it's like taking money from the cash point and throwing it in the sea. That's why I support Brexit. Nothing to do with "hating" anyone. I love Europe & speak French & Catalan btw.
