Sudan: RSF agrees to a US-mediated ceasefire

Sudan's parliamentary group the Rapid Support Forces, one of the two groups at the centre of the conflict, said it has agreed to a US-mediated 72-hour truce starting at midnight with the Sudanese army.

US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, issued a statement addressing the ceasefire, which will help to facilitate humanitarian efforts.
