Wire a Single Pole Light Switch | In 60 Seconds or Less #shorts

Let's wire a single pole light switch in less than a minute. #Shorts. Today I'll show you exactly how to wire a 15 amp, single pole light switch in a single gang box. When we're done we'll turn on the power and test it out.
Note: Circuits should be de-energized before work begins. Electrical work should only be done by a qualified person(s).

It doesn't matter where you put the power coming in on the switch, I usually put mine on the bottom because you flip the switch up to go on, that's how we do it in Ohio

Thanks for this video! We were replacing a ceiling fan with a light fixture we connected as it said and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. Turn out it was the switch. This helped me rewire the light switch from a two to one switch with no problem.

The neutral and ground tail twist should be tighter. I've fixed several connections where the tails are not twisted tight enough.

35 Years here... I have always put incoming power on the bottom as have most the people i lnow.... always wondered if there were two schools of thought on that.
