This guitar is amazing, I own one. It has a tremendous presence, and fantastic sustain. I’d put this up against a high end Taylor or Hummingbird. For the price you really aren’t going to get a nicer sounding guitar. I haven’t played through an amp too much with it, because it’s so loud and full sounding on its own, it really doesn’t need amplification for what I use it for. The only adjustment I made on this guitar was sanding down the bridge saddle by maybe 1/8”, which put the action at a perfect height. I’m really pleased with this guitar, and I did buy it from Kraft. I got the whole package with the case and everything. Dealing with Kraft was a great experience and I’m really pleased with the purchase. Would recommend both the LL16 and Kraft as well.

I have had the Yamaha LL16 are for a few months now, and I have played it next to Martins and Taylors, Tanglewood Masterclass, and even hand built one-off guitars.
The Yamaha left them all for dead. I kid you not!

Possibly the best guitar review I’ve ever seen. Tons of different style of playing dispersed between the info. Love it!

20 years ago if someone told I'd be playing more Yamahas than I play Martins I'd say that will never happen.

Received the guitar last Friday and I can't be happier. I'm fact, I can't put it down. I can play this guitar for hours. Its everything as advertised by Jeff. Simply an awesome guitar!!!

I have an LL16 and before I bought it, I tried it out in the shop against a Martin acoustic in the same price range. The Martin was made from laminated woods, and the Yamaha is built of solid woods. I would never think of putting Martin guitars down in any way but just thought that value and quality wise, the Yamaha is a better investment in this price range. I had the LL16 set up properly and it is really a great guitar to play, and a beautiful tone.

I've had this guitar for just under a year and I have to say it is one of the best sounding guitars I've ever played. I have played anything from gibson's from the the forty's and fairly new 5000 dollar Taylor's

This is one of the best reviews of an instrument I've watched. Nice job, Jake - and some very tasteful playing.

I own one of these guitars, and they are unbelievable. I agree that the guitar sounds " thin" on this demo, but it's because it was recorded badly+Youtube's compression destroys the sound.
I have owned Martins, Taylors, Lowdens, Epiphones, Avalon's (Chinese and Irish) to name but a few.
This Yamaha completely blows them all away. It's the only guitar I have ever known where you can put a capo on any fret right up to the top of the neck, and it stays perfectly in tune, and even then the body rings like a bell. The neck has zero-strain playability. My advice is go and try one out.

I have only been playing for 4 years and I have been looking for that one guitar that I love without paying over $1000. And I have found it !! This guitar suits my style GREAT! I just love it and can't put it down, it's so easy to play for a new guitar. Not to mention that my brown sunburst, looks soooo cool!! In my opinion, the best bang for your buck!!

I just order one and I'm excited to play it. Yamaha manufacturers excellent guitars at great price points for the working class. Video was awesome!!!

Very lively sounding. Bright and trebly. Suited more to finger picking than strumming etc to my ears at least

My LL16 is my third 'L' series dread (previously owned a pre-A.R.E. LL6 and LL16), and I have owned Yamaha acoustics since my first, an FG180 red label, bought new in 1969. I also own a sunburst LJ6. Yamaha simply don't do 'average' and build some beautiful instruments, from the lowly FG8XX right up to the LL86 Custom for which you'll be asked around £10, 000. Great review as usual.

I have the LL16 natural, the thing almost never gets out of tune,
This guitar can also take a beating, its built like a tank.
Also its the perfect camp guitar. I've had it for almost two years know.
Only thing i don't like is that its made in china.
If Yamaha ever did one made in Japan i would buy one.
