Utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software tools can benefit fire protection engineers and designers in multiple ways, including design and code consulting. This presentation will highlight the available tools in addition to how their application has positively impacted projects by reducing both design time as well as construction costs. We’ll walk through a variety of case studies, discussing the lessons learned – both challenges and benefits – from more than a decade of designing with BIM.
