PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

In this week’s video, Dr Rakesh takes us on a whistlestop tour of sun damage prevention. Should we ask him to start making his own YouTube videos? They’re just so darn clear!!!

If you’re not following Dr Rakesh on Instagram, please do! He’s full of wisdom on complex skin matters, breaking them down into digestible nuggets! And he’s an absolute whizz with lasers and advanced injectables, so if tackling sun damage is on your to do list, then book in to see him in September - the perfect time of year to start a project.

I like that you gave a list of sunscreens that were not limited to just the Dr Sam range, which, while a wonderful sunscreen, may not be accessible to everyone. Another great video, Dr Rakesh. :)

My friend and I are both 54. In her 20's and early 30's, she constantly used a tanning bed. I never used one. Now, she looks at least a decade older than me. For any younger person reading this, having a nice tan when you are young just isn't worth what is does to your skin by the time you are my age!

I love the Eucerin sunscreens. I use Photoaging control during the winter, feels like a nice moisturizer, and Oil control for the summer. Fragrance free, they do not break me out. I will definitely try Dr Sam's next time i repurchase Flawless daily and nightly!

I love that you recommend sunscreens by range, not individual ones. That makes it better to pick the one best suited for your skin type.

Dr Rakesh, Dr Sam, can you please do a video explaining what to do if you or a family member do get a sunburn? First aid, what to put on a sunburn (cool water, aloe vera, niacinamid, moisturiser?), what to avoid, skincare to minimise damage over the next few days, when to seek out medical help, when to go to A&E.Thank you. xx

Excellent advice. I found the LRP fluid too runny.. it very thin. OMG... sunbeds!! 😬

Very informative and interesting, thank you ☺️🌷 I've fair skin and always use sunscreen and almost never sunbathe....when in summer I only stay in the sun early in the morning (beach/sea) and late evening. For me that's enough. Again, thanks.

I discovered Heliocare 360 tinted on a trip to Spain and I really liked it initially when I wasn't using my cell phone. However, when I returned home and started using my cell phone, I realized it doesn't dry down.

I absolutely love the LRP Invisible fluid, it's my favourite. Dr. Sam's is very restrictive for me, as I don't live in the UK and it's quite expensive to buy abroad. I'd like to try it at least once and see whether or not I like it, although it seems to be too dewy for my preference.
