Thanks for showing, but would it not be more helpful for users if you show the steps of creating the cfg.xml and hbm.xml files instead of adding a file that somehow was created previously as user would not know how to create them in the first place.

For those who didn't find hibernate.cfg.xml. Make a search in the project folder of hibernate downloads. You will find many, select any one, which has good amount of configurations written in it.

Hi,
I found the hibernate.cfg file in the projects/etc folder, and of course that is a bare bones file. How do I know what the library is for the database file, that is the sql driver, I have downloaded the sql driver, but I dont know where you got the description as com.mysql.jdbc.Driver. And also the other values, can you please explain about how you find out what to put for all the values.

Hi, I created the application as u explained but got an exception and resolved it by specifying configuration file name in configure. Want to know why hibernate.cfg.xml is not configured by default.I have conf file in src folder outside of all packages.
