KOMBUCHA HEALTH BENEFIT — DETOXIFICATION
Detoxification produces healthy livers and aides cancer prevention. One of kombucha’s greatest health benefits is its ability to detox the body. It is rich in many of the enzymes and bacterial acids your body produces and/or uses to detox your system, thus reducing your pancreatic load and easing the burden on your liver. Kombucha is very high in Glucaric acid, and recent studies have shown that glucaric acid helps prevent cancer. Even Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the recently deceased Russian author and Nobel-prize winner, in his autobiography, claimed that kombucha tea cured his stomach cancer during his internment in Soviet labor camps. (And because of this testimony, President Reagan used Kombucha to halt the spread of his cancer in 1987. You’ll note he didn’t die until 2004, and that was from old age, NOT cancer.)

Kombucha contains glucosamines, a strong preventive and treatment all forms of arthritis. Glucosamines increase synovial hyaluronic acid production. Hyaluronic acid functions physiologically to aid preservation of cartilage structure and prevent arthritic pain, with relief comparable to NSAIDs and advantage over glucocorticoids. I've made a lot of kombucha over the years. I love to flavor my kombucha with a lavender simple syrup on the second ferment. It comes out tasting a little like champagne!

I started making Kombucha last year after being inspired by Stacy. I kept it going until Winter, then I let it sit dormant up in the pantry for months. Did not think the scoby would be viable, but much to my surprise it was!! I bottled up that kombucha from that "dormant" scoby, started and bottled up another batch using the newly formed scoby from that original and it is even better than last year!! 👍

My wife makes amazing kombucha!!! She does the flavoring with blueberries, raspberries, or ginger it is good! The ginger is like a homemade ginger ale!! As soon as we have a kitchen again she will be starting it up again!!! Can’t wait

I love adding all-natural dried cranberries for my second ferment. They swell up (the ones I get from the natural grocer are dried whole cranberries) and when you bite them they are little fizzy bursts of cranberry deliciousness in your mouth! I also love adding herbs and spices. Lavender, clove, and or mint are the most popular at our house.

Nice. I've been brewing my own kombucha for a year now. I always like to see how others do theirs. I put mulberries in mine when they're in season. It's so tasty!

Stacy! I don't remember the last time I have been so happy and excited about 100% SUCCESS with something new that I tried that is so good for me!!!! I just got in from outside most of the day and had my first bottle of my homemake recipe all according to your directions in this video and I LOVE LOVE IT!!! Thank you so so much!!! I ended up getting a scoby from my nephew's wife so I trusted the source and even though those things look kinda scary...I knew it was good. So yeah You and Doug are the bomb! Thank you for sharing how you make kombucha. My wallet thanks you too. :) It cost about $3 for a 12 oz bottle here. I couldn't justify paying that much per bottle to drink it on a daily basis.
Now I can drink it daily by making my own, thanks to you.

Ohhhh heck I will definitely be getting that T-shirt!! My main goal is to get off some of these Rx drugs! I’m down from THIRTEEN to just FIVE!!! Can you believe How proud are ya of yourself?!? Yup because of you guys and Heidi I have really reduced my Rx meds. I’m pretty proud of myself. Still got a way to go. Still weight to be lost of course but I’m doing it. I figure it this way...I didn’t get this way in a year so it’ll take time to correct the damage. I have faith I can do it. I may never get rid of all the pain meds because I have so many “foreign bodies” (rods and screws) and the MS but...if I can get it down to ONE! Juuuust one! I’d be super happy! I know you’re busy but I just thought I’d share and let ya know how it’s going.
I do have a question and someone may have answered this (I’ll read the comments) but how do I get a SCOBY? Can I just buy a store made kombutcha and pour some into what I’m making and it’ll form on its own? I haven’t tried making it yet cause I’ve concentrated on fermented foods. Now I want to try something new!

My husband loves his Maple ones too! I put a 5-6 pieces of organic apple in each bottle for more fizz. We rarely get fizz if we just bottled juice, still tastes good, but adding the apple pieces is nice. Recently I started doing organic grapefruit. wow its like Squirt soda. A little goes a long way on fizz there. 1 grapefruit 7-8 bottles. I didn't know you could use white sugar or should. Thanks for the tip!!
