#2 I only half agree with. It is effective to sprint into unknown territory by using half your stamina and then letting it recharge

Another tip: Don't be greedy.
Just now I was on top of Mountain, mining silver for the first time. It became dark but I continued.
Now my tombstone is on top with all the good stuff. :D
Not a real problem, I just run to it, but still.... annoying.

Nah, you should definitely sprint a lot, early on.

It's only when we reach the swamp that it becomes dangerous, before that we should be leveling up that running skill as much as possible.

Springting everywhere is no issue except in the Mistlands where you can not see the enemy. All other cases just have situational awareness and you are fine.

Terraforming used to be a massive issue, which is why people still think of it today. Before they patched it there was a memory leak that related to terraforming where the game would constantly remember what the land was like and what you did to it, and it would constantly cycle this every time and add onto it already doing this. Thus that regions memory files became massively cluttered and laggy.

Also the randomness of the world gen is part of the fun. If you know what the world looks like then exploration isn't really that interesting.

I used to build walls around my base, but now I dig trenches instead. It's much more effective - essentially eliminating base raids - and it doesn't block the view.

This tip is personal preference, but I play with Tutorial hints for this sole purpose: I refuse to talk to Hugin when he is alerting you about a dungeon or valuable object. It helps you locate them when visibility is bad, such as at night or just being in the Mistlands. I can't count how many times he's helped me find the entrance to a Mine or find a Skull, and even Burial Chambers in the Black Forest -- it's SUPER helpful.

Great video. I tend to remove everything around my base- stumps, bushes, stone, etc.

Regarding #2, running in a biome also can generate noise, particularly in the dark forest. Pray aggro if you’re not careful.

#3 just is silly to me. If you’re loading items into a furnace, kiln, whatever, you’re talking about a second or two of time. It’s barely going to impact anything in your gameplay. If you’re desperate for seconds in the game, I question what you’re doing lol. Personally, I prefer to not aggravate my developing arthritis as a gamer.

#6, good advice, however, I would add that you wanna make sure you break your boat down in shallow water. The metal components will sink to the bottom and if it’s too deep? Yeah you won’t get those back.

Everything in the ashlands can destroy raised ground, not just lava blobs

Spazz: "Dont sprint into bioms depleting all your stamina"
Also Spazz: "When you arrive with your boat however, deplet all your stamina destroying it and catch the wet debuff to safe your boat"👍

"Stop holding the interact button and instead rapidly press it"....yeah, i am sure my carpal tunnel will love that

About stamina, you NEED the sprint skill as high as possible tbh.
The way i survive unknown territory is to only use half or maybe two thirds of each stamina recharge, with rested of course. Works wonders!
Especially useful in mountains and mistlands :)
Glhf all!

The reason the terraforming myth exists is because terraforming used to increase the instances. That behavior was patched a while ago, but the rumors remain.

A big asterisk on 12:36: yes, your fall damage is capped at 100 HP... in one single fall. If you land somewhere unstable like the steep side of a mountain, you might continue to fall and land somewhere else, taking away another 100 HP.

Some great advice here, did not know about the different instance counts...time to build my mob farm underneath my friend's base :D

always keep "junk" items you may not think you need. these can be used for later in surprising ways, or for coal when you unlock that zappy box thing that i can't remember the name of. if you have _waaayyyy_ too much stone, you can just _zap_ and boom, you now have coal

1:49 Very succinct explanation. I have seen a lot of people confused about stacking resistance, and instead of fumbling over words, I will just link them to this video instead.

Also of note, when spam clicking your furnaces on a multiplayer server, you can accidently feed it too many ore, which sometimes burns the ore without giving you an ingot in return. My friends and I lost more than we'd like before we figured this out.
