ABOUT MY VIDEOS:
I make videos that contain lots of squash tips to help you improve your game. There are plenty of squash drills, both solo and pairs/groups, as well as videos about technique and swing.

Squash consists of three aspect: Mental, Physical and Technical and I create videos that cover all three aspects.

From 2018, the videos contain a special frame that tells you what the video is about (left), which aspect it covers (right), and also "quick jump" links (top) but also in the video description.

I respond to each and every proper comment, so don't hesitate to ask questions or offer feedback.

ABOUT ME:
Hi, I'm Phillip. I'm an ex-professional squash coach and was lucky enough to work with some incredible coaches, including Jonah Barrington and practice with some amazing players including Jahangir Khan and Ross Norman.

I was also one of the squad coaches for the England Junior boys for a few years.
Although I no longer coach squash professionally, I feel I still have knowledge and insight to offer.

That's why I started making videos and hope that viewers find them useful.
I hope my passion and enthusiasm for the game help inspire you to work smarter and harder, and hopefully achieve your objectives.

This is brilliant. I regularly use these routines in my solo practice sessions and have really seen my game improve over the last year. Much appreciated Coach Phillip!

Thanks coach, you are my favorite and only coach so far, love your video ! Could we have more beginner solo practice videos please, or tips for beginners like how to check the position of your racquet, where to strike and look when hitting a ball etc

Hi Philip, tried your practice couple of times now and it is great! Even got some club members to join me. Today did a session with another player at the same time on court. One on backhand and one on forehand side. Only with 'side to side' one person uses the front side of the court and the other the back side. It's fun doing it with two!

Ended up practicing yesterday as my playing partner failed to show up. Definitely need to work on my drop shots and back hand drives from deep but it's getting there.

Thank you so much for the videos. Could you explain a bit more about shot 5 (hard and low kills) ? There were no overdubs for this part, and I struggle a lot with this type of shot. What should I focus on, etc.

Hi Coach Phillip,

I really like how you have your videos sub titled. Sometimes however your speech to text programs makes a few typos, and makes things confusing. It would make things a lot easier if you could catch those typos.

Thanks

Thanks for your great efforts, really appreciated especially the poster numbering, I was struggling switching between timer, poster, and video to know the routine to do, really genius.

I've a question, I've noticed in some matches a lot of top players are taking a volley ball in middle line and cut it as low kill, If can explain to do this shot

Thank you for your great videos! Me and my 11 yrs old son have done this solo-practise routine for a while and its great. We have test it with a high bounce ball - red dot, as well. Whats your opinion about that? Best regards Ulrik Älmefur Stockholm Sweden.

What makes it that you say the ball should come of the back wall? Because other channels say pick it before it hits the wall. What different skills do you train by either letting it go or taking it early?
Great video again by the way

Hey coach. Awesome video. Can you please give me your recommendation for roughly how many times I should play squash a week or a month? That includes club fixtures, sessions with a face to face coach, solo sessions, other fitness sessions? Appreciate your help!

Excellent as always. We have a squash cannon available at our club. Do You have any recommendations for a proper practice using this device . thank you😀

My squash has improved after the side to side wall in solo practice 1 video.

But in straight shots of the wall, I can't get the ball bounce off the back wall, both forehand and backhand.

Do I lack strength or is the technique. I try and hit the ball as hard as I can. How can I improve.

I couldn't help noticing your shirt, do you actually spend time in Eibar? Actually, I'd say this video has been made/filmed in Eibar... that court looks kind of familiar to me.
