f(x)=-(x+1)^2+3 is the quadratic function to be graphed. Initially the parent function y=x^2 is graphed by plotting 5 points. Then f(x) is analyzed to find the transformations needed to change the parent graph into f(x). The order for multiple transformations is discussed. Then the parent graph is transformed by shifting it to the left 1 unit, reflecting the result in the x-axis, before it is vertically shifted up 3 units.
