Still got my 1975 purple fs1e and it's ready to do up like this one. Kept all the original bits but fitted a DX disc brake, YB100 engine and YG1F 80cc exhaust. Owned it for 45 years since I was 13 (riding it illegally) lol. In my college years got some stares on the M1 motorway, 60mph keeping up with the Reliant Robins haha.

I had an ss 50 on my 16th birthday in 1974, a superb machine for a 50cc, thank you for this vid, it reminded me of so many good times as a much younger man

well done on ur project m8 u made a cracking job on it.I had one in 1972 same colour aswell cost £165 new wish i still had it be worth thousands now

Great job. My mate had the Yam FS1-E and I had the Suzi Fantastic memories of our youth.

Can I ask what the painting jobs cost? Got myself and old 1976 that needs a paint job and wondering the approx price for something like that.
