vSpy vSpy's classic Australian rock song 'Don't Tear it Down', still as relevant today as ever.

One of the all time great Aussie rock tracks. Whilst the band was more an album band than a singles band, this was their highest charting single in Australia, peaking at #31.

The 80's wasn't only a decade, it is a Lifestyle.

Dude every brazilian surfer back in the 80's was a huge fan of Aussie bands!

It’s absolutely criminal that Spy V Spy never got the recognition they truly deserved, I saw them live several times, and each performance was perfection.

R.I.P Mike Weiley, you were a gifted, talented guitarist.

I'll never forget....

Asked a couple of mates to my first Spy v. Spy concert...there was us (3) and oh um about 8 others....that was it

They had great songs, sounded a lot like an aussie U2, and should have become a lot more well known. They didn't.

No tricks, no electronics, just guitars, drums and vocals... thats why spy v spy sound good in any era... 80s, 90s, thousands and now. Some of their music was ahead of its time; lyrics are still relevant today... i love their music

These guys were unbelievable! Brilliant. Australia had the best bands in the world in the 80s. These guys would have been world beaters in any other country. Maybe we had too many great bands?

80s Aussie pub rock... filthy goin' out short-sleeved shirts, power trio as tight as a gnat's chuff and songs about important stuff. I miss it.

Still as relevant as ever in 2025.
Homelessness (Mission Man)
Gambling Addiction (The Golden Mile)
Christmas at war (Pockets of Pride)
Heroin Addiction (Harry's Reasons)
Racism (Mingle 'n Mix)
Pollution (Trash the Planet)
Police Corruption (Sallie-Anne)
Global Inequality (Credit Cards)

Spies tackled issues that actually mattered, that's why the songs are timeless. 🏆

Great band live. I used to see them whenever they came to Melbourne at those iconic pub venues like the Corner, the Prince of Wales, and, the Central Club.

The pub band era produced so many memories - Aussie crawl, chisel, icehouse, radiators, the mentals, these guys- gone but not forgotten.
