If Craig's not singing, it ain't the Spys. Simple as that.

Even though the drummer 🥁 is the only original member, in my opinion they all did an excellent job. Still has that unique sound, including the singer bassist and lead guitar. Well done guys.

O Cliff estando presente, junto ao talento dos demais, faz a mágica acontecer! Mike aprovaria...

In some ways, the Drummer is the Band, I watched a Mexican concert with the Original guys but for the drummer and it did not work, Michael Weiley had a version that included a second guitarists who looked and sang like Greg, but the Drumming was not there, that Ride Cymbal was (signature sound) but not the Pump, And Craig is now back into it and has a Reggaespyz band and youtube channel which is not even trying to be SpyVSpy,
This sounded the most like SpyVSpy, even if it sounded less like it than Michaels band did. That guy was a anomaly, same size as Craig and same Voice.

They had Paul Green singing for them the last time I saw them.
That was at the Star Hotel in Milton NSW south coast. Micheal was on the guitar and they absolutely ripped it 💯✅✅✅🥇
He must of passed not long after that?
Paul Green is a muso/ guitarist from down that way and he was belting em out

Amazing. That's the original former band from 80's. Thanks for posting.

The band's initial line-up was the trio of Craig Bloxom on bass guitar/lead vocals, Cliff Grigg on drums/percussion and Michael Weiley on lead guitar/vocals.
The only original member in this video is the drummer Cliff Grigg, who was the first member to leave the band in in late 1991. Craig Bloxom the original bass player and lead vocalist played his final gig in Sydney in 2003 leaving Australia for the USA, settling in Mexico finding a new career path as a chef. Bloxom now lives in Newcastle, New South Wales. Original lead guitarist Michael Weiley died after battling cancer on 29 September 2018.
The original drummer Cliff Grigg who left in 1991 must have been short of cash, and formed a tribute band in 2021 to milk the band name. This line up folded in 2023, but Cliff obviously had not finished milking the band name, so he then found two local musicians from Newcastle, Paul Coxon and Paul Elliott (formerly of Rose Tattoo) to continue the tribute band under this new lineup in this video above.
This is not Spy vs Spy, it is an imitation of Spy vs Spy, simply a cover band, and in my opinion an extremely poor imitation.

Could only watch first 30secs …… this is not Spy v Spy …. Just some cover band with original drummer. Blox was the face and voice of spy’s, Mike the sound, cliff the beat .

definitely way better than the last lineup, so what if it's a new version of this band, there still going and playing great music, not trolling people from a keyboard @JontyBlue67
