That particular head of iceberg is not very dense. I've noticed in last 3-5 years that iceberg heads are not like they used to be.
My mom always told me to buy only the very heaviest heads.
I'm not even sure that
they even exist anymore.

Love...LOVE Blue Cheese Dressing!!!! I think I got that from my dad, when we went out to Bob's Big Boy resturant back in the day, we always ordered Roquefort/Blue Cheese dressing with our salad's....YUM!

I'm with you on. BLUE Cheese dressing. On my wedge salad I use to use Ranch dressing. Now I use a little lemon juice on my salad. Heck I only use Lemon juice on my salads with seasoning salt.

I love, love, love black pepper on salad! My daddy always peppered his salad and he converted me. When I would pepper my salad at work my coworkers freaked out. Then, when I added alfalfa sprouts, sunflower seeds (salted or unsalted) and cucumber rounds, they thought it was SO exotic! I've been a flexitarian since I was about 15 (no beef, chicken or pork except for crispy bacon and pepperonis) so I've had decades to find salad fixings.

Looks delicious. When I do one I do it with Thousand Island. But I don't feel like I have a good recipe for thousand Island the way I like it. They used to have the best thousand Island at the old defunct Steak and Ale restaurants. Chonky.
