This is so cute, all that Riley needed is for Sadness to get in touch with her. That's actually my favourite scene of the movie, when the other emotions finally realize how important Sadness is. The way Sadness was treated throughout the movie was appalling; but I guess it reflects how, in our society, people tend to hide their sadness, even though they shouldn't. Being sad, crying and letting go is healthy, way healthier then bottling up.

2:02 The strength on this woman is insane. Holding both of their weights and managed to pull up Joy effortlessly.

Can we get some appreciation for the "I would die for you, Riley" boys? Cuz they really did.

Starting at 2:13 Disgust is an absolute SAVAGE, even though I know those roasts were intentional. That’s what I love about her and that’s also why she’s my fave emotion!

Sadness: "I can't do it Joy."
Joy: "Yes you can, Riley needs you."
Me: That's right, every emotion helps in it's own way.

In this line from the movie, Joy thinks that a good life is one that never experiences hardship, but her short-sightedness keeps her from realizing the benefit of other emotions, such as fear, disgust or anger. Thankfully, we know that a good life is not a perfect life absent of emotion. 🟡🔵🟢🟣🔴

3:30 Notice the subtle detail of Riley getting her face lit up as a symbol of her changing plans last minute

One of the most important life lessons, there's absolutely no way you can enjoy life without other emotions such as Sadness being vital as life always has its ups and downs, that's for

Disgust just magically happened to have that helmet on suddenly

Anger: *Throws Chair Against Window*

Disgust: "That worked"

Anger: "Well what would you do if you're so smart?"

Disgust: *Insulting Intensifies*

“It’s Joy!”
I find it funny that Disgust didn’t even acknowledge Sadness. What the heck. I know she doesn’t think that she’s as important, but jeez. 😂

"Yes you can. Riley NEEDS you."
I think that's my favorite line in the whole movie, as it solidifies Joy's character growth, while openly stating to Sadness and to the rest of the Emotions how important Sadness is, after years of treating her poorly.

1:56 Fear: oh I wish joy was here..
Literally a second later..
joy and sadness hit the window.

This movie is so good but makes me sad. I was a lot like Riley as a kid, but my parents never would never let me express sadness or dissatisfaction to them and comfort me. They told me to just suck it up or that I was too weak, so l learned quickly to never show any emotion but happiness to them. I just had to suppress it and cope the best I could by myself.

As a result, I never learned healthy coping mechanisms. Now I have serious depression and anxiety and find it impossible to reach out to others when I'm struggling because I just blame myself, lol.

The fact that a movie can be made out of emotions amazes me. What an intelligent attempt and the result is here to stay. ❤❤❤

Sure, let’s forget Sadness who basically saved her from dying.
