The McPherson tape is an early found footage movie that documents a family's alien encounter. Parts of this movie were lost and thus the credits were missing. Some people found it and actually thought it was a real life encounter! So is the McPherson tape that convicting? Lets find out!

After watching this once as a kid I only had hazy memories of it for years which added to its creepiness. I actually thought I’d made it up entirely until rediscovering it as an adult. Great film

I did like "The McPherson Tape" but not a lot. Some elements were pretty dumb like a family member goes missing and after they KNOW aliens are near, they are like "Hey, let's play cards!" Come on. geesh. If you want to see a pretty darn good under the radar alien flick, watch "Alien Abduction" (2014) directed by Matty Beckerman. Yes, it has a generic title you'd fly right by but give it a shot. I bought a dvd and it was well worth it! Generic cover also, lol!

Not bad for found footage. Still has the FF problem of why is anyone filming a video at a time like this? But the story works, the interactions of the characters work, the aliens...well, they don't work, but it's forgiveable.

Im glad to of finally put a rest to this movie 😂🥲 my cousin and I found it when she moved into her house when we were kids and for a really long time we thought it was real.
