I've been driving Uber black in Chicago for three-and-a-half years now, and at first I was grossing close to $400 a day, with expenses of around $120 leaving me around 280. But since this year 2023, it's been much harder to crack 400. It's been more like 300-350 and with expenses that leaves me just $180-230. That's UberX money. The number of drivers I'm seeing in the lot at the airport has jumped from 60 to 80 to 100 to 120, leading to waiting over 2 hours for the next ride, which I think is an indication that there are more uber black drivers than ever! When I got in, I had to wait nine months before Uber let me in the Black program because they were controlling the number of black cars, presumably to keep average earnings up for drivers. I wonder if they have done away with that policy? If so, this will hurt the quality as more of us seek other opportunities.

Idk about this, I made $600 last night after my bonus with uberX, does Uber Black have weekend bonuses that are rational? I understand black rides are minute, so 60 rides would be impossible to complete by the weekend....
