The funny thing about arena aside from learning weapons you use less often is the fact that arena map really draws out all of the monster's potential while putting you into defensive stance, making you actually care much more about its moveset than on a regular hunt where we use to be be more offensive.

Its important for people to remember that "mid quest" means after 10mins of the hunt, joining won't activate it. You can join hunts but just make sure it's below 10 monster. I've gotten many of my mantles helping others with the quest Helper bonus + good luck + capture pro and gather palico.

I mistakenly picked up SnS on the F. Rajang arena quest. (I was supposed to pick my main, CB) For some reason I was able to beat it with an S grade using a weapon I have no idea how to use... And now I have this terrible urge to learn SnS. 😯

Soaring feather is only WW3 and a 4-slot? I feel like it's not a very strong option, though it might be more useful once we get better 4-slot decos. I actually use a 4-slot deco for Wirebug+ and there are plenty of helmets (Lunagaron, for example) that probably give you better skills with more slots so... it looks pretty bad

i don't have a main weapon because of arena quest i was playing DB since MHFU but as i completed all the arena quest in world i started playing all the weapons and it's so much fun to go trough the story of a MH game and change weapons every main quest xP

to be fair, CB is something i play a lot of, against rajang is really hitting your head against a brick wall. especially when he hardens his arms. when that happens any combo you'd normally do to build up or stack phial charges, now puts you at risk of being deflected and then punched in the face.

Rise and Sunbreak's arena quests are too infuriating for me to 100% complete this time like I have in the previous games.
I'll rather 100% the co-op arena quests in Freedom Unite solo again.
Rise and Sunbreak truly have the worst arena quests in MH history.
The scrolls have made things too random which messed with my basic understanding with the weapons I don't main and I have mentioned before no faints permitted in Rise's arena quests is BS. The arena quests always had the normal 2 faints permitted with the weird outlier being World: Iceborne with 4 or 9 faints allowed.
Arena quests are meant to be a challenge and a test of your understanding of the game but they were also there to experiment a bit.

I think the Feathers are extremely weak this time. Wirebug Whisperer is nice but so many helmets offer far better skills for a wide variety of Builds with much better Slots. If it had 4/3/2 slot instead it could be great and definetly worth slogging through the Arena.. but you need MR50 to even unlock the 6th arena i think so by that time you run around in pretty well established Builds and you have access to Helmets like Lunagaron, Malzeno (2 wirebug whisperer, 1 Wexploit and 2x 2 slots) or Astalos. Its unfortunatly too "weak" for how late into the game you get it and for how hard you have to work for it :(

I was worried that Soaring was going to be build integral, but a someone who doesn't use wirebugs, I'm relieved that it's not.

The soaring feather isn't amazing, the lunagaron helm has crit eye 2, wirebug 1 and 2 2 slots, so with 2 wirebug decos you can have wirebug 3 and crit eye 2, maybe if your weapon doesnt care for crit eye but does care for whisperer then it's good, so like, mayyybeee gunlance???

The thing with this armor pieces is that they are a bad rewards for the challenge, it could have better skills and slots.
