Not the answer I got! IF the boat is traveling downstream @ 8 km/h (still water speed) PLUS 3 km/h with the current, shouldn't it be able to travel 22 km in 2 hours? The problem says it travels 20 km in 2 hours. Likewise, IF the boat's traveling upstream at 8 km/h MINUS the 3 km/h counter-current, the boat should be able to travel 10 km (but the problem says it travels only 4 km). My answers are: boat in still water travels 6 km/h; current is 4 km/h; 6+4=10 km/h downstream=20 km in 2 hrs; 6-4=2 km/h upstream = 4 km in 2 hrs
