Its more you go nose-blind, you get used to any smell if you are around it enough. I always notice it when i come home i cant smell my dogs, but if i go to other peoples houses i can smell their dogs clearly

I say this as someone who suffered with depression for years. Hygiene is one of the first things to go.

I did that before but it was because it was winter and I was poor and had no heat so no hot water. I would use baby wipes and some times heat up water in the microwave to use to wash my face and hair.

I fought a lot of skin problems in my teens and 20's. Went through a lot of dermatologists. After trying just about every medication or treatment or "professional grade deodorant" etc, I finally took the opposite approach and ceased all chemicals down to short cool showers (water only). It's the only thing that ever resolved all my skin problems. Turns out I was damaging my skin and exacerbating my skin issues by over-soaping.

He is half right. If you use antibacterial soap it makes you smell worse when you do sweat but you should still shower with natural soap and you should only wash your hair with shampoo once a week but just use water the rest of the time.
