If ever caught doing this again mandatory 6 months in jail. Trouble is they may get away with it the 2nd time if it's not caught on film. These people have severe anger issues

I believe that now a days. You had better have a dash cam! It’s the only way to defend yourself against crazy scam artists using their vehicles to scam you. These people should be locked up for doing this, not just fined and sued!!

Bought each of my kids a camera for Christmas (older cars, not standard equipment) Hopefully they never need them for this kind of BS but I'm glad they have them, though.

Dash cams should be in all cars along with black boxes of some sort. I had someone run a red light and then blamed me for the accident. There were no witnesses. I had a dash cam and they only had their lies. They claimed all sorts of injuries and got a shyster to submit claims of $250k in personal injuries/pain and suffering. When I read the report I called the insurance investigator. I was told they dropped the claim after the shyster saw the video. I asked what happened to the doctor who claimed to have examined the individual and they said that they were now under investigation for previous claims which were submitted under their "care". Turned out the shyster and the doctor had a long history of working together.

Exactly why I want to get a dash cam. Though where I live, I haven’t heard anything about people doing this stuff.
