Turn that cover the other way, it has 2 positions. 1 for Atx and 1 for Eatx

You can flip the motherboard cable cover to fit E-ATX

the cover to the right of the motherboard is reversible! you get more room if you turn it the other way. thats why there are contact pads on both sides. at least thats how it is on my NV7. its for EATX support. the bottom bracket is also angled because they tested and the 13 or 15 degree angle is optimal for airflow to the gpu mounted in a traditional way. hope this helped :)

You can rotate the right Mainboard Cover for ATX and e ATX Mainboards

I put the reservoir/distro in the back where that 280 would go and i love how clean it makes the interior of the case, no pump/res floating anywhere etc

That right side piece you cant fit back because of the motherboard, you can flip it and the other side gives you a bit more clearance. They made it that way so one fits ATX and flipping it gives you room for an EATX. At 20:15 you can see how the side facing the camera also has a gap and the sides are shorter. You can also see the 2 screw holes on top of it to also mount the GPU bracket when you flip it. Will it be enough to clear that Asus motherboard? Maybe? I have an NV7 that fits my EATX fine by flipping it. I assume it's the same with the NV9.

The two issues, bottom fan mount and motherboard tray rgb trim. Both can be flipped. The bottom has two ways to mount, flat or angled, by flipping it around there are screw holes in both ends to accommodate. The motherboard trim piece can do the same. The orientation Jay tried it in is for an ATX, if it is flipped the part contacting the motherboard connectors is smaller for EATX boards, either way it has screw holes for either orientation and the rgb strip works in either orientation.

I wish you start to do builds inside those cases. these vids start to look more like just an unboxing.

The 24pin cover on the case can be flipped to increase room to allow increased room for EATX mobos

about the asus mobo not fitting:
you can flip the vertical cover with the pogo pins upside down and turn it 90 degrees to fit into the case in a different orientation that accommodates eatx mobos like the asus one much more easily.

Just as a side note, you can fit a 280 rad (and also a 240 rad even on the nv7) in the back between the mount and the back door, with only the fans inside the main area of the case itself (if the rad itself is slim enough 27 mm in the nv7, not sure of the clearance in the nv9). I put a 240 rad in my nv7 over there and it is a much cleaner look. if i were to put the rad itself in the main area and not between the mount and the door than the fans would cover the mobo. if you put it in back then you can perfecty fit 30mm thick fans in there without obstructing the mobo and it looks hella clean!

i don't tend to upload YT videos but i did upload a short on my channel of my nv7 build to show my off to my friends. whoever wants can check it out! It is a full custom loop cooling the cpu and the gpu with a monoblock gpu block and a distro, 240 rad in back, 360 rad on the bottom and a thockboii 360 rad in push pull config on top to fill in the space there. 13900k 4090, with d30 fans (bottom intake the rest exhaust).

You need to flip that Motherboard cover around, ie have the short side to the motherboard, i have the x670 Extreme in an NV7 case, Its tight but it fits.

Jay, the RGB bracket to the right of the motherboard should be reversible to allow for more clearance. At least this is the case with the NV7 I don't see why they wouldn't incorporate the same design here. Flip the cover 180 degrees vertically.

I just built in the NV7, it was a dream and my build is the best looking i have ever had - cant imagine an even bigger case!

I have been working up to building my first system and watching you and others has help me. I finally got my first system build and it went perfect. everything worked first time. Thanks for making those mistakes so we can benefit from the info.

The bottom fan mount is angled to direct airflow towards the glass and aim it at the gpu if it's air cooled.

Jay, I have a case with that board you can flip that light bar around that why there pins on both sides

@JayZTwoCents angled bottom might help with the airflow for vertically mounted GPU-s.

Comment from Phanteks on their website: "Versatile GPU support bracket securely holds GPU to motherboard and prevents sag. Removable side and bottom fan bracket for easy installation. Bottom bracket can be reversed for angled or horizontal position."

I recently got this case, for my new pc upgrade/build. It is amazing! even the doors you can take out if you want!
The cable management is perfect! I combined this case, with the phanteks D30 fans, which makes it so clean!

The only issue i noticed, is when using an 360 AIO, (im using the Ryujin) is that the tubes are not long enough to have the hoses point towards the front (Rad top mounted). So i had to put the hoses on the back side, be careful that your exhaust fans are clear from the tubing.

I love my Phanteks Eclipse P500A. I built in a P360A for a friend of mine, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to build in. It's a no-frills case that offers 90% of all the Phanteks conveniences. Very affordable price, too - $45 USD on Black Friday.

I have an NV7 liquid system. You can mount a 30mm rad on the back of the rear 240/280 location with the fans inside the case and still close that back door. It's the best case.
