She’d been hooked on drugs and in and out of rehab for the last few years of her life before ending up homeless, not feeling worthy of love or support. She over dosed on fentanyl in recovery centre. She didn’t have it easy growing up, and it only got worse for her as a teenager, and now whenever I hear this I can’t help but cry. It’s her life in a song. RIP Abby🩷

Honestly I think that's what makes it the best track on the whole soundtrack...feels more real, more like this is what Barbie was thinking during the movie. Not saying the other songs aren't real or anything but personally I love it when the songs on the soundtrack are like that, when they feel like it's what the character(s) was feeling or was thinking in the moment. I think that's what makes a movie soundtrack the best. But I also grew up on Disney movie soundtracks so probably explains my opinion on that, because a lot of those songs in their movie soundtracks WERE what the character(s) thinking or feeling in the moment.
