My step-father adopted a saintly GS named Gracie who “flunked” police school after she did wonderfully at every obedience and detection task but absolutely didn’t bite pretend assailants. She was such a good girl, she only knew how to love people.

Whoever got him is one lucky person. So much time and money goes into training these dogs. So basically they got a world class, highly trained best friend. Can't beat that! I'm jealous!

My foxhound didn’t want to hunt, that’s how I ended up with him. He’s a nice dog that just wants to go for a long walk .

My father brought home our first dog who was also a retired police dog called Captain. I'm not really sure why Captain didn't make it and ended up with us but I still remember the day he came running out of my dad's work van
