I hadn't heard of XTC until I went to a basketball game between the teachers at my high school and the DJs at WRIF in Detroit back in 1979. After the game, there was a pile of records in the middle of the floor, free for the taking. I grabbed a copy of Drums And Wires and was hooked! This is a great song!

John Peel loved this one & got me too as well. I remember that Ian Dury was another of his favourites. He played "What A Waste" just as much. Excellent songs that were not your more typical punk music of the times. It may just be me, but both songs have that "timeless" feel to them. Music that won't fade away. Thanks for the upload.
