The overwhelming power of cool teen insecurity can occasionally be harnessed and weaponized by them to use on otherwise confident adults. An hour with my high-school sister, through sheer proximity I'm doubting every item of clothing I've ever considered wearing, and she's not even after me.

i wish. my therapist treats me like an adult and i wish i had a more “teen friendly” therapist. yes, i need to focus on college and my adult future but god sometimes i just need to vent to my friends and play a game and talk about feelings

You should have given her at least 7 seconds of dead air once in awhile, and let her open up. You talked so much she didn't have a chance. Do less.
