Thank you for keeping us up to date. It’s sad to hear some of these living facilities weren’t complying, but a new stricter plan has been put in place. This virus is something we haven’t had to live with before, everything is changes so quickly. So glad Maryland is adapting and addressing the concerns, and not giving up. Thank you Governor Hogan and staff 🙏🏽💜💙🕊

Being a retired NBC (Nuclear, Chemical, Biological) Defense AF officer, I think you are doing the right thing and have shown great leadership. Buying S Korean test kits was something I was advocating 2 months because they were proven and we didn't have time to develop our own. You are correct that testing is key and working around Trump to buy some for Maryland was also correct. I can say my family and I will do our best to vote him out in November. He has worked against our country while you have not

Prayers for the patients in the nursing homes...gosh I could only image the fear and stress that they are going through. I pray that the staff is taking care of them properly.. Prayers for the staff to have patience and to follow safety procedures put in place for them and the patients...

I work in a nursing home/ we do not have enough tests - we do not have enough PPE- residents with symptoms are not being tested in a timely fashion. County Health gives us the run around. That’s why we are a “hot spot.” He’ll us help our patients.

I hope Governor Hogan takes good care of his health with all the stress he has since he had cancer several years ago since stress is the main killer for cancer.

I’ve finally been able to access the unemployment website fairly easily in the last 24 hours. Hope others have success. Still haven’t received my card.

Just wondering how many people making all the negative and sarcastic remarks would be doing the same thing about these people if there had been NO virus in the USA. Probably not, but then some of the ugly remarks just show your true colors. This is something most people never thought would happen in their lifetime. It has changed all our lives and patterns and not much fun. Stay healthy, be constructive (instead of destructive), do something positive for someone who is doing without. God bless the USA.

For those of you complaining about him not opening up the state right now, there are places hiring...you may want to risk your lives and the lives of your loved ones but I personally don't...and saying that it is like the flu is not correct..my brother had it and thankfully his body is fighting it off still and he's been sick for almost a month after his 14 days of quarantine..He's had the flu and said that it is way worse than that. People can be so insensitive.

Please, Contract trace the businesses that supply the meat-packing and food processing facilities, all they come into contact with just like you would do with an infected person. By this I mean specifically that as you test the employees of these plants look at the other businesses bringing supplies in and out of the facilities to check for secondary hot spots, and risks of re-infection sources that would pose threats to the food supply. Then apply equal protective measures to the businesses that are close to each facility on the supply chain. I like chicken, The chicken must flow!

Representative Andy Harris will be speaking at the “Reopen Maryland” protest at Salisbury, Maryland. He, and other members of the Freedom Caucus, sent a letter to trump in mid-April calling for him to reopen the US economy.
