I am sharing here my artisanal method of making a probiotic beverage out of coconut water and water kefir grains. Milk kefir has higher probiotic strains but I am intolerant of casein so I preferred the sugared water alternative.

My approach to my health protocol is a balance of both evidenced-based and functional medicine. Having a variety of food sources is an ideal way to provide all the nutrients that the body needs. My consumption of kefir drink every other day worked well in regulating bowel function.

Kefir is fun to do by infusing flavors. Sometimes I go second fermentation for the fizziness.

I always treat my grains like living pet.
