Great plant for the large garden but not the small garden....My variety is the very orange-red form which is my can grow 6' or mentioned often enough is to pinch the growth points often, for a more bushy habit n more a while to flower, btw....usually mid-late July here in cent. Va. Good Luck!!

I planted seeds in containers in mid may. The stems and leaves look very happy but at the end of July only 1 bloom. It's as if it forgot to bloom. 😅
I haven't given up hope yet. But it's the slowest blooming flower I've almost ever seen.
