Takes me back to when my husband came back from deployments. One return our daughter was a toddler. When he deployed to Afghanistan, she was a teen in high school. On his last deployment, she was a grown married lady. I'm so glad he retired after almost 30 years in the Army.

Thank you to our troops for helping protect our families and our country. But a very special thanks to all the families who wait on the mainland for their service person to come home especially the small kiddos who really don't understand why Mom or Dad can't come home everyday like Jimmy's dad does. But I'm sure the people that care them really reinforce why the parent that is missing is working and will come as soon as they can and they really want to come home too be with them also.
