My Mom hit me like a linebacker in 1990 when I took leave before Desert Storm. Nearly took me off my feet! All 4'11" of her! I was 5'7". I never get tired of these videos! Mom passed in 2002. I miss her and think about her every day.

My parents surprised me at my graduation from basic training, 1977. I surprised them almost 2 years later returning from Germany, 1979. My father did a triple take. These moments are so special. My father died 3 months later. Family should love and surprise each other every chance they get.

I Used to have less respect for military and such 4 years ago simply because america is still in a deep hole but I realized that it is NOWHERE near their faults and I should have never disrespected them so badly. I DEEPLY Apologize to anyone here who has served or has family who has served because of what I have said in the past, you guys do amazing things for our country and try to make it better while highly risking your lives. You are LOVED and APPRECIATED and I Thank You for your service. I Wish you guys so much Love for You and your families :))❤❤

All of those reunions gave me such a rush of happyness, glee & tears. This is so very touching no matter what country, no matter which flag they are serving ... when children, partners, parents AND dogs (especially them) get crazy-emotional to be reunited with a person, THAT is pure happyness.

As a veteran and a military brat, I can’t express enough how important reunions with your service member are. I especially remember the last of 4 times my dad came home from Vietnam, back home alive to us one final time and going on to serve a total of 50 years between the Air Force and the Defense Intelligence Agency. How could I not follow his example by serving in the Air Force, no I didn’t do even a 4th his 24 years but I was still proud to have served the years I did.

There is nothing more touching than seeing the save returns of service men and women.
We had ours when our Dad returned to civilian life after serving in the 2nd WW and the Korean conflict. Yes I am that old.
And out of all of us kids I did what Dad did and tied up my Army boots. Now I have a granddaughter who wants to do the same thing. She can get her Army boots handed down from me and her Mom because she has my last pair. What a family tradition passing along your Army boots
I am also the first female in my family that put on the uniform

Cried whole this clips…no words to describe….I been there as Army helicopter Medic’s wife…just got Married and had a baby boy and my husband left to gulf war for 12 month…came home alive and see his son is 1 year old and didn’t recognize him broke his heart ….that was 35 years ago go but never forget how hard it is especially when loved one is going to actual war and do not know he or she will come home or not a live or in a body bag….
