KBAF stands for Barnes Air Field (not Air Force). The field is shared with the MA Air National Guard, which is why the large runway.

Great video. On your next non-precision video explain the V (Visual Descent Point). It would appear that you live in the New England area. From 1987 until 1999 I flew for Business Express airlines and then American Eagle Airlines living in Westfield, MA.

*IS* there a situation where you'd be getting ILS info, but NOT a glide slope?

I'm just trying to figure out this exercise. Is it for specific airports/runways, or is it just another way to practice?

It seems MS snuck in the ability to turn off the Synthetic Vision if you want that extra challenge.

Kids and their computers, back in my day we flew the needles :P

What's up with the narrator? Did you play lawn darts without your helmet? It's nearly impossible to understand what you're saying at times. Slow down, annunciate, double your Prozac dose... Please listen to this video yourself, you'll see. No doubt you know your stuff but c'mon. I discontinued watching only a few minutes in.
