Luke, you mentioned that you were first discovered at 15 and it took you 7 years to be able to live off music. I have been producing myself for since I was around 16-17 which would be coming up to 4 years now but for most of that time I feel like I haven't achieved / put as much in as other people have since I have only really created music as something I enjoy doing every so often for some fun rather than trying to create a career. I plan to focus fully on music during the weekdays that I have free now that I have finished education for the next year and hope to develop and achieve a lot more but can't help but wonder if age would increase / decrease chances of being successful enough to create an income from music since a lot of producers are successful at a much younger age.

This was very interesting blog, you often think famous artists / DJs have not struggled but the key to success is often hard work that after a long time brings results.

Moving Thru Your System was the song that shifted me into house music gear. Heard it at one of the Zoolu Festival parties at State Palace Theatre in New Orleans in the mid 90's. I think it was Nigel Richards' set. I was sitting in the seats when his set started...Moving Thru Your System starts coming in and it was an epiphany...I made a break for the dance floor and that was it. House music. DJ Dan, Terry Mullan (with whom I was lucky to open for at Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge), Charles Feelgood, Frankie Bones, Carl Cox, Bad Boy Bill, Nigel Richards, Rabbit In The Moon, ...those were some fun times with friends, DJ'ing small clubs and house parties, even a few large clubs.
