Mark Ball, an attorney and law partner of Alex Murdaugh, returns to the stand to answer questions about Murdaugh's relationship with police. Ball previously testified in the double murder trial against Alex Murdaugh that more than a dozen people who weren't first responders or law enforcement walked around the scene of the killings before South Carolina SLED agents arrived to investigate.

“This is a pretty big farm and I don’t know who is over there. Two people have been gunned down,” attorney Mark Ball testified. “Safety is one concern. And is that house part of what has gone on here? Where does the crime scene start and stop?”

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, Ball returned to the stand as a rebuttal witness for the prosecution after the defense rested its case. During this time, Ball answered questions about Murdaugh's relationship with law enforcement, the blue lights he had installed on a Murdaugh family vehicle and property that he owned in the Colleton County area.

During his questioning, Ball discusses how long he knew Alex Murdaugh (approximately 34 years) and their hunting experiences. Ball testified that Murdaugh did not talk about carrying a pistol despite years of experience using long guns and rifles.

Sometimes it's the smallest things that make you realize what a low life people can be. One of the rebuttal witnesses was the retired sheriff that Alex said gave him permission to install blue lights in his Suburban. The sheriff not only said he would never have given permission but they never had the conversation. So here is a defendant in a double murder case, no longer influenced by his drug addiction, lying directly to the jury under oath over something that is insignificant. How can anyone believe anything he says.

I watched the whole trial from my home in West Australia. I also learnt a lot about the “low country”, it’s people, the culture, the police system & the legal system. SC & WA have similar humours.

So fascinating & I want to learn more about the history of South Carolina ❤ 🇺🇸 🇦🇺

With so much evidence it would be interesting to see a reinactment done.

I sure like Mark Ball. I think he was a good friend and he is very truthful about his feelings and what he knows.

According to Maggie’s sister, when she was on the stand, said Maggie bought those 2 300 blackouts. And Maggie’s sister wondered why she bought them. Listen to when she was on the stand again.
Paul’s 300 blackout was stolen out of his truck.

The innocent people may mistakenly give some facts about the incident that are less accurate due to stress or confusion, but won’t intentionally lie on every crucial detail of the event. AM just did it. Let’s see if the common sense can prevail.
