It's funny how some people see this as a love song and I see it as a relief like a burden just fell off my shoulders. It reminded me of my previous relationship that I allowed to drag on for the sake of making it work when fate was already written. She was the one who couldn't/wouldn't let go but in the end was the one who cheated. At that point, I didn't have to have a reason to leave it. Too bad it wasn't sooner.

James, you simplified my 14 years in 3:39. Thank you.

OMG his eyes at 3:01! Quick but powerful, looks as if he'd been crying. I love how he is able to interject small, quick things that you have to catch or you'll miss them but they add so much to the song and video because they are so realistic as if he truly is feeling those emotions at that very moment.
