Imagine the other genres that they could have done together if they had stayed together; gospel, funk, disco, reggae, jazz, new wave, etc.

You miss "I don't want to spoil the party": most of experts consider this song the very first country-rock one of the history.

All in 7 years, a lot of these they practically invented. It’s no wonder they’re the greatest band of all time.

Imagine if they stayed together long enough to get into a prog rock era

Why some people still think their music was "basic" and their music was boring and overrated...I don't get it, they did many kinds of styles and genres...they evolved every day and pioneered a lot of things. they have influenced even the favorite bands of those who hate them (for no reason, because one thing is not liking their music and quite another to hate them)
But well, I will always think that the Beatles were and are the most important band for all the legacy they left, I love so many bands and they all have their importance, but the Beatles are another level.

This is the band that did more than half of all music genres and even pulled it off to be meaningful, popular, nostalgic songs that will last forever!

No band can touch them. Not only so many classics but so many genres.
All done in the 60s and still relevant today

Great video! The Beatles were truly capable of incorporating many genres into their music.

Great video! They also played Boleros like Till there was you.. She's leaving home is not really near to Baroque..I can find also Baroque pop on In my life (that harpsichord solo in Bach's style) or even in Piggies also with a very characteristic cembalo part and that ending Sus4 chord reminding liturgical music...The world of The Beatles is huge..

I love this video. Other bands have tried different styles and were lousy. The Rolling Stones with “Between the Buttons” and “Satanic Majesties” and were not successful. However I did think of 2 categories you missed. 1. Shows Tunes. They did “ Tiil there was you “ from the Broadway play “The music man”. 2. Girl Group Songs. They did “Baby Its You” which was recorded first but “ The Shirelles”. Thank for proving once again that The Beatles were the greatest.

The kings of guitar based music. There will never be another that will rival what they did. Happy that it happened in my lifetime.

For soft rock they did "Here, There and Everywhere", "Something", and "The Long and Winding Road" in my pinion but I consider that to be an easy listening song as well.

They made also classical music in She's Leaving Home.

John: So... what genre is this song you're writing George?
George: It is classic rock of course!
Paul: But what is classic rock?
George: I don't know... It's just classic...
Paul: Don't you mean just rock?
John: Do you know any other song that classifies as classic rock?
George: I guess... Elvis and Chuck Berry could be in that category
John: But this song and those songs are entirely different...
George: I think you're right, my song can't be classic rock if by saying classic you're talking about an standard that appears over time in a genre that has over certain time of existence like what we call classical music today...
Ringo: Guys just relax about the things we said today. just let it be, because, you know... tomorrow never knows.
