And even then. You can’t destroy the Litch. Only entrap him. Even Golb couldn’t kill the Litch. Presumably, many copies of the Litch spread throughout the multiverse was trapped in puzzle pieces by Golb. He cannot be destroyed, only suffer a fate worse than death. Ironic.
