Hot damn! You just saved me $$! I put my kettle in the trash and came to YouTube to research a good brand to buy. Your video popped up. I pulled the kettle out of the trash and poked in the hole with a toothpick (Oster kettle looks a little different). Plugged it in and, hot damn, it works!! Thank you so much!!

That was my problem. I noticed two days ago my kettle was not seating on my base correctly. Then today, it was not working. The contact had bent too far and was not making contact with the metal round piece on the kettle . I love this thing and was not wanting to buy another one. Never been so glad to see a blue light come on again. LOL. Many THANKS!

I did that too hard and the clip got inside, well just opened the base console and adjusted clip back to its position .
