I've done this before and the results are corrosion on the battery solder due to the liquid soldering flux. Also, it's almost impossible to remove them on the battery once you need to salvage or repair the pack.

you should apply a drop of solder on to the battery first and also to the wire.

before you solder them together so you can solder them as quickly as you can. the Ideal range is 1 sec.

nobody want their solder to heat their batteries for more than 5 sec. that will damage the batteries capacity

Nah this is painfull to watch, where is the nickle strip and spot welder? Its ok to solder wire onto the nickle but you cant solder directly to the battery, unless you want an explosion. Also did you tin your iron???? Please dont teach bad habits

For reference, this is called 'turds'. No way any of these are making good contact which wont fail before you even put the last screw of 50. FFS! Ebay spot welders are CHEAP! Or use a 12v battery at least.

So were not going to tin the wire and the battery for a stable solder and connecting point ive seen many different ways to solder a battery but never this way to me this looks a defective product but what do i know i only weld and solder avionic systems 😅

This is the worst example you can get. Don't solder on cells, and your tip is totally kaput, it should never be black from oxides cause of high temperature.
