Ample MII Lite (free) has a number of limitations from the paid version, as you might expect. One to be aware of is strings 2-6 only sound up to fret 4. First string sounds all the way up. So you have every note but not in a very guitaristic way. It's ok for first position "cowboy" chords, and does sound nice.

I don't think you can call Shreddage 3 a free VST when it requires a full version of Kontakt (which is nearly $400)

Guitar plugins tend to be "harpy". Ample and Spitfire are amazing even with their free stuff.
