Wow! Little did I know I did it right.

My husband (then unknown man) crashed my new year’s eve party. I was only wearing mascara as make up, I had in a tight red dress that showed no cleavage but totally open back. I wore 2” heels (I am 5’9”) and the dress stopped at mid-thigh, so my long legs showed.

My husband STILL talks about that red dress 31 years later. 😂

Great tips Stephan especially when it comes to makeup! I follow this trend now so when I do have a first date it will not be hard for me to be my authentic self. I only wear makeup on special occasions. When you start off real and presenting your true self, this leaves little room for error in my opinion. Keep it real all the way!!

i agree with matching your makeup to where you're going - i'm not wearing a no-makeup look to a nice dinner - but..to some of the commenters i've been reading...not everyone that wears makeup wears too much or becomes unrecognizable when they take it off - some women have a more glamorous look, some have a more natural look - there are guys that like both - some of these comments are leaning towards shaming people that wear makeup or acting like it's more virtuous to not wear it - also, we also have a choice about what guys we chose - for instance, i tend to like guys that like girls that are more glamorous and stand out - either way, you have to know yourself and be confident and know what you can pull off and what your overall vibe is - you can be glamorous with the right makeup - just as you can be gaudy with a small amount of makeup that's applied wrong or small amounts of the wrong color - AND if he's lucky enough that he's seeing you take off your makeup at night or what you look like "in the morning" then he pretty much needs to be quiet - LOL - thanks stephan for promoting beauty in all forms!
