After getting the installation complete and re-tuning the printer in every direction possible (and getting some sleep) I recorded some notes and tips as a post-mortem on the process.

Cheers!

Good deal on reasonable PETG, on Amazon. Less than $14/1kg spool, just have to buy 3.

Maybe I zoned out when watching it, but is it significantly better, or in fact any better, thanks for posting, 🙏

Amz3d filament is a better bet for cheap filament as the tolerances are much better than the all over the place Amazon basic stuff.

You do realize the nuts on the Z-Axis screws are upside down right? This makes calibrating the Z-Axis nearly impossible and will cause problems with max-height prints. Otherwise good review! Thank you!

I notice that your hotend wires are going in a loop, whereas the upgrade kit has a special channel for them. I then found that by using the channel it's really hard to change nozzles. Did you make a conscious decision not to use the new channel for those (red) wires?

Thanks for sharing this video on the 3S upgrade. I ordered the kit. Do you post your battery adapters anywhere - Thingiverse or PrusaPrinter.org or elsewhere?

Did you print your own parts for the upgrade? I tried to print my upgrade parts using ABS but failed. Are you located in the US? Currently, the upgrade kit if I buy it from Prusa will cost around 90.00 dollars.
