#2 Torque Converter issues is not a torque converter problem, it's a sport mode issue. Sure replacing the torque converter will solve the problem, but using sport mode will always keep causing it.
#4 Clutch failure by friction disc wear is a transmission problem universally, not just ZF. Funny you don't even show the friction disc.
But people don't seem to realize the only reason why transmission work is because of basically sand paper and liquid flow in the torque converter. Clutches lock up and spin together because of friction discs that hold them together after being compressed. Torque converters move the vehicle because of how fluid flows through its internal fans.
Low fluid or low pressure and that sand paper dries up and will burn up from the spinning discs. Burnt out clutch.
Low fluid and the torque converter isn't full so it's internal fan blades aren't spinning right, most of the time there is no direct connection between transmission and engine via metal on metal lock up.

And one of the biggest causes of codes and issues is worn out shaft bushes (especially the E clutch drum). This should have been mentioned here as well.

my ZF 6HP26 lasted only 43, 000 miles on a 2006 XJ8, It used to be my mom's car. Never driven harshly. It's in the shop now being rebuilt.

Mine is struggling to to shift into 5th and pops to 4th. I hear 4-5 flare is common on these due to bushing on e-drum. Or does anyone think it is faulty valve body or selenoids? Clutches didn't look burnt when I installed this used one. I'm almost notice slight jolt when shifting into ever gear upward. Sometimes smooth.

What abou in D mode under 1800 rpm if i am quickly take off my foot off the acceleration pedal the rpm drops a little bit down and goes up, what suppose to be the problem??

I have problem from 3 to 4 gear mostly when cold oil. It want to go to 4 but right away drop back to 3. In manuál it does too but only with throttle open. I put it in 4 but its ignoring me and goes to limiter and it put 4 on its own. Problem 2 is rev up and down from 200rpm to 500rpm difference. When i have 90km/h and static throttle or cruise control revs are jumping. Thank you
