We have a rescued female Texas Brown Tarantula that my heeler attacked and injured in our house in Texas. She healed up and moved with us to Alabama.
Very chill! 🕷️

How cool would it be to just be driving down the road and see Forrest saving a spider? It would make my whole year!

Thank you for saving a creature that could have hurt you or worse. You know how to handle them.

What I have found to be interesting is living in Roswell, New Mexico for the last 20 years outside of town. You will often especially earlier in the morning. See a tarantula across in the road and if you go back at the exact same time every morning, usually within 10 minutes. One way or the other you will see the same tarantula crossing in the exact same place

Seeing spiders like this reminds me that one of the VERY few benefits of living in Canada is we don't get this kind of shit.

I did that with a male tarantula and by chance there was a female tarantula on the other side of the road. So Mr T was saved and he got lucky too. Both T’s here were Texas Browns (Aphonopelma hentzi).
BTW, Ms T was in her burrow, poking her legs out a little.

I do this in southern Yucatan all the time. Sept/Oct the roads are covered with these little angels. I never see high numbers in other months. I wonder why?

If I could drop everything and come work for this man, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
