This is a playthrough of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.

Sonic 2's the faster-paced sequel to the original Sonic the Hedgehog, and on the whole it feels much more vibrant and engaging. As with Sonic 1, this is a no-damage playthrough where I collect all the Emeralds.

The music for this game is so nostalgic! I remember them all and keep humming along as I watch! My personal favorite is the music for Chemical Plant Zone! Iconic!!

I could never beat this game as a kid so this vid was very therapeutic for me haha. That was always nice about Sonic 3 is that you didn't have to beat it all in one go.

Sonic the hedgehog was amazing, this took it a whole step further. Aside from improved graphics and sound, they had the "turbo boost". The final amazing surprise was of course super sonic

LOVE this game! Maybe my most played game of all time. One of my favorite parts though is the medley of all the zone songs at 57:10 and all the creative snare transitions in between.

That blue and red on the chemical plant stage is beautiful. One of my favorite designs of the entire series.

Everything about sonic 2 is iconic to sonic fans and even people who grew up knowing about sonic: the ost, the levels, the frustrating moments, the final boss, the 7 chaos emeralds, the ending.
The fact that this was completed in under a year makes this one of the biggest success stories in gaming and makes this game one of the best games to release at all.
