The solo of Wynton Marsalis on this track is priceless. All of these messengers were just badass. Classic

Yes! My supervisor in the Navy lent me this LP overseas to hear "the Wynton Marsalis that he remembers." I had always read about how impressive he was when he was very ypung, but this album blew mw away! This a must have for all jazz collections. The entire album is On FIRE!

This album defines what jazz is to me. Of all the Messengers albums, this is the one, fabulous from start to finish. I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves.

Ah, so this song changed names. First heard this version, and recently came across "keytsone 3" where it is listed as "Fuller Love".

it is really nice and polite that you do not fully write those bad words. I think we can all say that you are a gentleman. Thank you!

Blakey's Blue Note output (deservedly) gets all the attention, but this is one of his very best later recordings with an absolutely smoking band, that is 'Hard Bop' at its best. If I recall correctly, this was a Bobby Watson composition and is my favourite track. Thanks for posting!

Beautifull and Fantastic theme written by Bobby Watson, inicialy named "Fuller Love",
I recommand latin drummer Marlon Simon's cd  named "In case you missed it", for people who love this theme like me :)) Ache

Wynton Marsalis. On this track Wynton ate up every change the master Art Blakey threw at him and then some. With all of the technical facility Wynton has he also can swing his ass off. What a great band. Simply ripped it up.

James Williams on piano. Not Cedar Walton. Met him once in Atlanta. I walked over to him and introduced myself to him. He asked was I a musician. I said no but I loved his playing style.

Anybody else get an "Always There" vibe on this or is it just me? Fabulous track though.

Sounds like ‘always there’ by incognito!
