My Hindu/yoga philosophy teacher said that happiness is a choice, if you are mindful/aware then in that moment you can 'catch' your reaction, and I like the fact you mention happiness is a skill, because yes it does take practice, but as my teacher says living 'for now' is 'for ever'! Thanks.

As I watch the science of happiness grow, I can't help but feel 'people' came to many of these conclusions in the past, but continued down the "anti-depressant" path. I'd hope money and big pharmaceuticals wasn't a driving factor. Regardless, I'm optimistic due to many revelations in the study of "happiness". I am happy.
